The Camelthorn Tree Mattanu Boma
Under the Camelthorn trees and African skies, amidst the and shimmering lanterns, few venues will contribute to your event atmosphere than our African themed boma.
Kick of your shoes and experience the Kalahari red sand under your feet whilst being served some of the best cuisine in SA. Paired with a great wine selection this will contribute to your event being one to remember.
The Boma may be booked alone or as part of an extension of the 1000 seater auction venue for larger events.
Pricing structures:
2-8 people – When a Game drive package is booked (R720pp) an additional bushdinner setup fee of R595 will apply.
9-20 people – When a Game drive package is booked (R720pp) an additional bushdinner setup fee of R595 will apply.
If only the venue is required without activities a venue hire and set up fee of R5000 will apply and R595pp for a 3-course dinner cooked on the fire.
20-100 people – If only the venue is required without activities a venue hire and set up fee of R5000 will apply and R595pp for a 3-course dinner cooked on the fire.
Include all crockery, cutlery and basic table setup for 3 course meal.
More than 100 people all cutlery, crockery, tables, chairs, tablecloths etc to be rented through event company and quoted separately.
Full Bar service included. Wine list available. Waiters can be arranged at extra cost.
Serving of starters, buffet style main course and serving of dessert is our standard procedure.

Drumming around the fire as corporate team building event is available and will be quoted separately
Helicopter flights can be arranged and we can fly 2-3 passengers at a time and around 20 people per hour.
Shuttle busses can be arranged from Kimberley at additional cost
The boma is a child friendly venue although care should be taken around open fire. Jumping castles, face painting, pony rides etc can be arranged for additional children’s entertainment. Let us know if you have any further questions or if you want to visit the venue prior to your booking.
